Gal 2:2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
Here we see Paul applying some of the Proverbs we discussed. Even though he knew that he had been chosen by God, and that he had received special revelation, he went to the leaders of the church privately first. A lot of disputes get started because of the surprise factor, not because of real differences.
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
I love this verse. We are justified by our faith in Christ. I’m SO glad that I don’t have to work my way into heaven. I need His grace and strength each day.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
One of the first worship choruses that I can remember learning is Galatians 2:20. The Holy Spirit through Paul summarizes the walk of holiness and salvation in 1 sentence. Wow!!
Lord help me to rely on You today in all that I think, say and do.
