Passage
Matthew Chapter Eleven
It doesn’t matter which version you choose. It can be digital or paper. You can use one of those fancy coloring bibles and do a page or coloring along with the passage.
I will mostly do Holman Christian Standard Bible because of their copyright freedoms.
- Matthew 11
-
- Mt 11:1-6 John the Baptist’s questions
- 4 Jesus replied to them, “Go and report to John what you hear and see: 5 the blind see, the lame walk, those with skin diseases are healed,[a] the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news. 6 And if anyone is not offended because of Me, he is blessed.”
- Mt 11:7-15 Who was John the Baptist?
- Mt 11:16-19 What’s Up?
- Mt 11:20- 24 Towns that didn’t believe
- 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented in sackcloth and ashes long ago!
- 24 But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”
- Mt 11:25-27 Who knows the Father? Who knows the Son?
- 27 All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows[l] the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires[m] to reveal Him
- Mt 11:28-30
-
28 “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
- Mt 11:1-6 John the Baptist’s questions
Mindful Meditating
-
- choose a verse,
- set a timer for 5 minutes, or whatever works for you.
- example: Matt 11:28
- repeat to yourself, and at each word, enunciate the next word in the sentence starting with the first word…
example:
- 28 “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- COME to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- Come TO Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- Come to ME, all of you who are weary and burdened , and I will give you rest
…and so on. This will cause you to look at the verse more intently, and may have you memorize it before your five minutes are done.

Hi!
My hope in the midst of despair and my joy in the face of depression is because of my relationship with Jesus Christ. If you do not have one, or are not sure you will join him in heaven, please check out these links:

Ps 63:7 Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.
“The Lord does not give me rules, but He makes His standard very clear.
If my relationship to Him is that of love, I will do what He says without hesitation.
If I hesitate, it is because I love someone I have placed in competition with Him, namely, myself.” – from My Utmost for His highest
